Though you may not have heard about it, yesterday Facebook announced that its Facebook social networking application was now available on the iPad. For only being out for a single day it already has a solid four star rating with over 1.8 million votes on the Apple App Store. The app is very easy to use and includes many of the features and options that previous third party applications were lacking. Some examples are the ability to modify your security and privacy settings as if you were logged on to the Facebook website.

I have been using a third party Facebook application since the iPad came out. Unlike third party apps, I enjoy how the application looks and feels very similar to the web based version of the site.
